“Don’t let the kids fight cancer alone” is the guiding motto of the Indonesian Children’s Cancer Foundation (Yayasan Kasih Anak Kanker Indonesia, YKAKI), which is dedicated to providing care for children battling cancer. With eight shelter houses in cities across Indonesia, YKAKI ensures that every child facing illness receives the best possible care and treatment while also having the right to learn and play despite their health challenges.
On November 24, 2023, representatives from PT Delta Djakarta, including members from the HR&A Department and the PTD Christmas Celebration Committee, visited YKAKI as part of their “Senyum Ceria” (Cheerful Smile) initiative. The visit involved engaging in communal activities, participating in art and craft sessions, and sharing donations. During the event, volunteers interacted with 22 children undergoing cancer treatment, along with their parents and YKAKI caretakers- demonstrating PTD’s dedication to community engagement and corporate social responsibility.
